A Little Late Halloween

Back in the beginning of October 2012 I wanted to make a Halloween costume.  But what to make?  I had just acquired a sewing machine and was antsy to use it.  Then I saw a blog where a runner had made her own tulle skirt and top for a superhero run- my costume idea blossomed.  I wanted to be Wonder Woman!  Well, a loose interpretation of her.

Used some felt to make the insignia.

More felt.

Felt glued together.

The glued onto a blue t-shirt.

Used a ton of tulle to make the skirt.  The tulle was a bit see-through so I made a skirt to go underneath.

Making the cuffs from foam and elastic.

I wore my red running tights underneath the skirt.  There's also a cape I made but you can't see if from this angle. Mindi also wanted a costume so she's Bat Girl!
